Thanks to all for the kind words about the loss of my Mother. It's been just over a year now, but seems like just the other day. Thanks again.

What do most people do with their capibaras? I'm interested in hunting them one day but I don't know what I'd do with it. Congrats on a fine hunt Larry and sorry to hear about your mother.

ch - No typo on the one I killed with Juan. Can't speak for anyone else. Three of us could not move the critter a single inch from where is dropped. After gutting, removing the head and both rear legs, finally able to drag it 25 yards, (still with lots of effort) to the truck. Then loaded it with the help of a tractor.

Thanks Juan! I knew SCI had a category for them....I didn't expect to hear the meat is delicious though. I hope to try it one day.

I have no trouble believing that weight for the pigs. The only boar I've ever shot was a monster that weighed a lot more than I expected.... 334 lbs after he was gutted, head was removed and we took off 2-4 inches of fat that covered his body while we skinned him.
