PH: Pete Fick (Brent Hein available in later Oct.)
Dates: Aug. 1-14, Sept. 1-10 and Sept. 26-Oct 7
We've got a couple of packages available for lioness and buffalo left for 2012 and I thought I'd post them here first. The Bubye Valley Conservancy has been quoted as having a higher density of lions that Kruger National Park, so they get a limited number of lioness on quota each year. Pete Fick and Brent Hein have given us the opportunity to sell one of these packages for the 2012 season, so we happily obliged.

There are two separate options for this hunt - A lioness and plainsgame hunt or a Lioness/Buffalo hunt. Each hunt is as follows:
Option 1: Lioness/Plainsgame - 10 days, $1,150/day These 10 day hunts include meals, lodging, 1x1 guiding for 10 days and transport to and from camp from BYO.
Extras are 2% government levy on daily rates and TF's, trophy fees for animals killed or wounded and lost, dip and pack, shipping of trophies to final destination and gratuities if warranted.
Option 2: Lioness/Buffalo/plainsgame - 15 days, $1,400/day These 15 day hunts include the same as the 10 day hunts but also give you the chance at a buffalo. David WHey Russell, Good to see you in Dallas! I always enjoy catching up with you and hearing about your plans for the year.
Guys, this is a great hunt in a wonderful area. Camps and staff are first class and hunting is fantastic on over a million unfenced acres. My son and I hunted with Brent Hein for lioness and plainsgame in 2010. We saw 39 lions in ten days including a couple of young males who took loud exception to our presence near their recent eland kill. Tracking is a productive method at Bubye, particularly late in the season.
FWIW, I don't have any interest in the hunt being offered. I just thought I would pass along my experience/comments.
Good hunting,
David

Greg BrownleeThanks David, Brent sent me the photos of you guys with the lioness.
FYI - We did not book David on the hunt. Brent Hein, his PH (hell of a PH BTW), sent the photos for promotional use.
