Confused
Will someone please be so kind and tell me what is the problem here cause there are enough 'views' to confirm interest.
Not cheap enough for you, to many species, because of the fences, you don't know me or because you've hunted all these species already ???

Helgaard, I'll jump in with some input.

There are outfitters selling:
1 x Hartmann's Zebra
1 x Kudu
1 x Oryx
1 x Warthog
1 x Springbuck
1 x Steenbuck
on 7 day hunts for about $5,000.

For plains game it's hard for me to justify adding $4,000 to add a couple of days and two Wildebeest to the hunt.

Thanks Fjold !
I guess one can do without 3 extra hunting days @ U$ 680-, 2 non-hunting days @ U$ 160-, 12 days for an observer @ U$ 1000-, Blue Wildebeest @ U$ 1050-, Black Wildebeest @ U$ 1300- ( U$ 4190- fair offer ) and hunt the rest over 7 days for about the same as some outfitters are selling it for. Wink

Some folks don't like packages either and would prefer day rate - trophy fee scenario better.

Helgaard,
You deal is higher than others. I would ask this = what truly sets your operation apart from the 20 or so other outfits that offer what you offer near Windhoek?

I've already booked for the year otherwise I would be emailing you about it. Doesn't look like a bad deal to me.

Helgaard,

Don't know if I'm reading this right...but is that a revised offer for 7 days without the black WB and blue WB???

Just curious if that is correct that is an extremely FANTASTIC offer especially for a first-time PG Safari!

Sure way to get folks through your gates tu2

But I may be reading it wrong bewildered

Your offer looks to be in the ballpark. I would suggest adding some additional information such as:

1 - Are arrival and departure days included in the 7 hunting days or are they in addition which would provide 7 full days of hunting?

2 - How much land do you have available to hunt? Is it one property or several properties. If it is several, how large are they and how close are they to the area where the hunter will be staying?

3 - References from prior hunters also help.

I haven't booked anything for this year as yet, but I'll certainly consider your offer.

Ha! If you are looking for references - pick me ! wave I first hunted with Helgaard maybe 6 or 7 years ago when he was with Wildfarm Felseneck .. On that trip my buddy Bill (from British Columbia) and I each bagged a leopard along with all of the plainsgame that we wanted. Helgaard is one of the nicest guys that I have ever met ... an absolutely top notch PH .. in every way. Since then I have hunted and fished with him several times .. including once in Canada !!! I would recommend him without any kind of reservation at all . If I have my facts straight, Okanduka Seibe was about the very first ranch to be hunted professionally in Namibia by Basie Martens in the old days .. lots of history there.

Hi Helgaard. This looks like a great opportunity to me. I really do think that most of what is happening in the hunting industry is the economy. The US is in a mess . The official unemployment rate is bumping 10% and I feel that the true rate is much higher. Even the folks that are doing well are skittish about what's coming next with the Idiots we have running the country right now.

I would love to go to Namibia this year but after 5 years is a row I'm going to sit this year out and I know at least two other people who are going to do the same.
