With an abundance of game, Huntershill located in the Eastern Cape, RSA has lowered prices that will fit anyone's budget. Season runs almost year around, closing only for the holiday season: December 16th - January 11th. I have hunts during most off season dates and photo safaris after September through end of February. Photo safaris are not conducted during hunt periods however photographers may accompany hunters as Observers. April-August have spotty openings so check with me before planning your dates. Bookings for 2018 are available for most dates. Our list of trophy game animals is extensive and not all are currently listed. Some may not be imported into the USA at this time so contact me or the USF&W for current rules. And the daily rate is?

Mike

Legistine actu quod scripsi?

Never under estimate the internet community's ability to reply to your post with their personal rant about their tangentially related, single occurrence issue.

What I have learned on AR, since 2001:
1. The proper answer to: Where is the best place in town to get a steak dinner? is…You should go to Mel's Diner and get the fried chicken.
2. Big game animals can tell the difference between .015 of an inch in diameter, 15 grains of bullet weight, and 150 fps.
3. There is a difference in the performance of two identical projectiles launched at the same velocity if they came from different cartridges.
4. While a double rifle is the perfect DGR, every 375HH bolt gun needs to be modified to carry at least 5 down.
5. While a floor plate and detachable box magazine both use a mechanical latch, only the floor plate latch is reliable. Disregard the fact that every modern military rifle uses a detachable box magazine.
6. The Remington 700 is unreliable regardless of the fact it is the basis of the USMC M40 sniper rifle for 40+ years with no changes to the receiver or extractor and is the choice of more military and law enforcement sniper units than any other rifle.
7. PF actions are not suitable for a DGR and it is irrelevant that the M1, M14, M16, & AK47 which were designed for hunting men that can shoot back are all PF actions.
8. 95 deg F in Africa is different than 95 deg F in TX or CA and that is why you must worry about ammunition temperature in Africa (even though most safaris take place in winter) but not in TX or in CA.
9. The size of a ding in a gun's finish doesn't matter, what matters is whether it’s a safe ding or not.
10. 1 in a row is a trend, 2 in a row is statistically significant, and 3 in a row is an irrefutable fact.
11. Never buy a WSM or RCM cartridge for a safari rifle or your go to rifle in the USA because if they lose your ammo you can't find replacement ammo but don't worry 280 Rem, 338-06, 35 Whelen, and all Weatherby cartridges abound in Africa and back country stores.
12. A well hit animal can run 75 yds. in the open and suddenly drop with no initial blood trail, but the one I shot from 200 yds. away that ran 10 yds. and disappeared into a thicket and was not found was lost because the bullet penciled thru. I am 100% certain of this even though I have no physical evidence.
13. A 300 Win Mag is a 500 yard elk cartridge but a 308 Win is not a 300 yard elk cartridge even though the same bullet is travelling at the same velocity at those respective distances.

Yes, if daily rates are not included with packages, they are $260 per day (hunting) or $150 for Observers. If I build you a custom package that includes premium animals, I will get either a reduced rate or free days. Buffalo and Sable for example include 5 free days. You can combine both for 10 days.

So if I wanted a cape buffalo, a sable and a roan, would the total of the hunt be $18,500? Just to trophy fee. No daily fees. Is that correct?

David what is the quality of the Buff? Is there some pictures of bulls taken this past season?

This is probably the best priced hunts I have seen, ever.

Eddie, you are correct:
Cape Buff: $8,000
Sable: $5,000
Roan: $5,500
Total: $18,500 all in. Gratuities to your PH/staff are at your discretion. This gives you up to 15 hunting days at no extra charge. Game is mature, and you'll be hunting trophy class game. Other game is available for the trophy fee. References available on request and I'll be happy to email you pics of some of the trophies taken on my hunt in July.

Hi Charl, I have a good number of pics but it is difficult to upload them on photo bucket anymore. Non stop spamming makes it a sore spot, but I will try to post a few tonight.

To answer a question concerning the Bat-eared Fox: it would require a permit and at this time I cannot tell you we will obtain any. Those on the waiting list will be advised should we receive any. No Leopard permits will be issued for 2018. What a shame. LDK

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

Please post a pic. I've been to Cameroun three times, but I've missed out on this species.

I paid $2k for an add-on buff in Zim back in 2003.

$8K doesn't seem like a great price to me??? (unless that is an "all in" price for a 7 day hunt).

If you read his ad it is all in for 5 hunting days on the buff and this isn't 2003.

I could have shot 3 Elephants for $6K in 2009, my how things have changed. Look around, when you find Buffalo of our quality for less, I'd suggest booking your flights, just sayin'.

Next year our Buffalo hunt is $8,500 and includes 5 days all in. No charge for pick up and return to East London and no charge for non hunting arrival and departure days. During that timeframe, you are allowed to add other game at trophy fee only. LDK

Being that they are so rare, the trophy fee this year was $200 USD Smiler Can't say what the fee will be in 2018 but the list is growing that want one.
