"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

For what it matters, I did this same exact outing w/ Johann a few years back and it was one of the best hunts, including fishing & sight seeing "adventure" that I have ever been on and I hope to get back again sometime soon to finally get my Eland

I forwarded this on to a friend of mine who has been wanting to travel to Africa.

He will have his vaccinations in place by Saturday and is looking for some place to start traveling too.

I did this exact same trip with Johann in August of 2019. It was a family trip with my Wife and 20 year old son. We had great time. I would like to return and do more fishing as well as hunt Eland and Mountain Zebra.

Although I’ve never hunted with Johann, I’ve hunted five times literally across the street (C35) with his neighbor Jan du Plessis who runs Sebra Hunting Safaris. I’ve met Johann and in 2019 I shot bait animals for his Leopard hunter from Malta. He’s a good guy, and that area is crawling with Gemsbok, Kudu , Springbok and Mountain Zebra. With the COVID travel restrictions in 2020 and with ample rains, conditions should be awesome. Etosha and the Skeleton Coast are must sees. My wife and I rented a Toyota Landcruiser in 2012 and duplicated Johann’s itinerary on our own. Johann knows every pebble on his property and his lodge is first class.
