We have an opening for early October 2011 for Goat. Coats will be great then and you'll hunt the south side of the island. This is a hard core hunt for those able bodied souls. Chance to take a 9-10 inch billy is a reality. You may be able to take a Sitka Blacktail Deer as a target of opportunity (just buy your tag). This is a registration hunt; meaning: you register with your guide when you book your hunt. Lots of secluded pockets of Goats in this area. Location will depend upon weather at the time you charter into Kodiak. Charter costs average $600. Figure in two extra days: arrival (Anchorage) and departure days as you will be hunting 10 days if needed. Last years hunt was a success with all hunters taking Goats. Cost of license is usually around $300. Hunt cost runs $8,450.00 and includes your Guide and a Packer (you will praise your decision for having the Packer along). If your looking for a true fair chase, walk and climb Goat hunt in an area with lots of Goats, this is your hunt. Contact me via PM or email for more details.
