Hi Bill That is a friend of mine in Arizona, all he has right now is a 45/70, Marlin Guide. He wanted a buffalo with it. I loaded some 400 gr BBW#13 Solids for him at 1875 fps, and they actually did a really good job. One shot, about 25 yds, stone cold, no bullet recovery, exited of course..... They were hunting with Andrew in November. Michael http://www.b-mriflesandcartridges.com/default.html The New Word is "Non-Conventional", add "Conventional" to the Endangered Species List! Bill, Yep, out of a 45/70, 18 inch Guide Gun.... I have been working with some other bullets as well that turn the ole 45/70 into a new and different animal! But for this particular situation, animal/hunter, I felt best with that 400 BBW#13 Solid to get the job done. I hunted with Rod Ferreira and his son Corris Ferreira in september 2001. One of the best hunts in all my life , for sure the funniest as Corris is really a spectacular guy and a hell of a Ph. I hunted there my first elefant and at this precise moment i am looking to those nice tusks here in my living room. Corris is resposible for my elephant addiction . And i know a lot of Portuguese hunters that have a lot of respect to Corris. You cannot go wrong and you will have a tremendous hunt 100%. My most warmest regards to Corris and good luck.

I will be hunting with Andrew this coming June for Mgt. Ele, buff, hippo, croc, bream and ducks. I was relieved to find out the local council is honoring the prices on contract despite Zim Parks suddenly raising trophy fees. This a good deal at a great price. It isn't ever going to get any cheaper. STAY IN THE FIGHT!

I can attest to all of the above. My daughter and I stayed a while at Gache-Gache Lodge/Chapungu fishing and site seeing for a short while after we had finished hunting in Charara. I swear I saw Crocs over 15' and Hippo were everywhere. You had to be very careful walking from the Boma to your Chalet in the evening and the dang Hippo kept you up at night bumping around outside your door. In addition, we saw a plenty of elephants, a few walked thru the camp at night, and I would have to agree that they seemed rather pissy for some reason. I would say most of the ele we saw were groups of Bulls, one of which was a huge bodied tuskless which is understand is kinda rare for a bull. We saw several nice buffs and waterbucks and heard but did not get close enough to see a couple lions scuffling with a buffalo in the thick. Warren tried to get close enough to see and get pictures in the thick Jess but I had my daughter with us and did not want to expose her to that kind of danger so I made him back off. We were within 75' as it was, and on the way back to the Rover ran smack into a another big buff and had to back off real quick. Pretty exciting place. I would like to go back and hunt ele and Waterbuck there and maybe whack a Hippo on land, we sure ran into a few

Just want to bring it under your attention that the 10 day Buffalo, Hippo and Crocodile hunt can be split between 2 hunters. The price will stay the same @$19 000 and the clients can split the hunt the way they would like to. This means that the $19000 will include the daily fees for 2 Hunters. One person can hunt the buffalo and the other the Hippo and Croc.

Andrew, we must not tell them about the hippo we shot there, hippo was out of the water, but when we shot, WE WERE IN THE WATER.... Hippo on the Ground!!!!!!!!!!!' So how do we figure that, The Hippo was shot in the water, but I was the one in the water, not the hippo? Good question Scott, kind of hard to see the mass and shape, perhaps a lechwe, or a waterbuck with a twist which would make more sense given the area?
