Last minute cancellation on one of the most coveted exclusive guiding concession in Alaska. Master guide Phil Shoemaker, Grizzly Skins of Alaska, has an opening for a brown bear hunter in Oct 2017.
I can be contacted either by phone 907-414-4570 or e-mail. Grizskins@att.net

Dates are Oct 10-20.
Price is $24,500 (original price before deposit was $28,500) , no trophy fee, additional rt charter fee from King Salmon $1000 which can usually be split between hunters.
We have lived on and exclusively hunted this concession for over 30 years and have better than 95% success rate. 9 1/2 foot average!

Believe me, you WILL see bears. When hunting Moose at Phil's, we had bears all around us, coming to fish in the streams and wandering about. We'd watch a couple of them fishing, then they'd all look up and take off running....then Mr Big would come out for his turn. Cool stuff.

it looked like we had the hunt sold but the hunter can't make it work, so we still have an opening for either the Oct 1-10 hunt or the 11-25th hunt.

The hunt is still available as the dates Oct 10-21 don't seem to work for those who have responded. But I recommend hunters for that second hunt come a few days earlier as most clients on the first hunt have already filled their tags, left a big pile of bear attractant and have recent information on where big boars are hanging out.
Many of our very largest bears have been taken
Later in the season.
I am also willing to cover the price of the tags and license

That bear that followed you up to the spotting hill during moose season has been growing ever since ! I think it was even the one who broke the window in the cabin this summer looking for you !

Biebs,
I think they all look big up close....

Be careful what you ask for. A 10' bear is big any way you measure it.

Without a Blaser, you will be in for a tussle...

BTW, none of the gun shops in Anchorage (or Buffalo Bore) have taken your 9mm pistol DLP as a marketing hint. Still can't find the ammo in the shops, with a few exceptions.

Wish I could take that hunt!
