For those of you who wish to hunt Waterfowl (Ducks/Geese/Sea ducks) in MA, AR, NE or FL, contact me ASAP for prime dates. We start in Nebraska for Teal (Sept) then fall into various States for early Canada goose, followed by Ducks/Geese in all States listed. Post season Snow Goose hunts are done in NE and AR. Cost varies from $150/$175 to $350 per day. I have contacts for lodging and other needs as required. Here are a few photo's of past hunts:

Why is the knob bill so priced? Infind them quite easilly in nov in zimb. Are they rare? Thanks for the photos and any info on that duck

Knob billed ducks are prized by trophy bird collectors. With proper paperwork, they can fetch $3,500 mounted.

Arkansas update: Tim Reaves will only take 2 hunters at a time this year. $300 per day includes lodging/meals and guided hunts for ducks and geese. Season will be as follows:

Duck season---Nov. 18 to Nov.-26th
Dec.-7 to Dec.- 23rd
Dec. 26 to Jan- 28th

Speck/Snow/Blue season
Nov. 15 to Dec 1st
Dec. 3 to Jan 28th

Specks are already showing up and they not only decoy very well, but are great eating. Getting a "Tar Belly" is an added trophy. Once season starts, Tim is not as easy to contact but I stay in close touch with him. You will pay him directly. This area is not far out of Stuttgart, and you'll want to stop at Mack's Prairie Wings if you've never been before or to buy your license/stamp/gear. You can also order license/stamp(s) online. The 2017-2018 waterfowl and crow season dates are:

Early teal — Low Plains: Sept. 2-17; High Plains: Sept. 2-10. Daily bag limit: six; possession limit: three times the daily bag.

Duck and coot — Zone 1: Oct. 14 to Dec. 26; Zone 2: Oct. 7 to Dec. 19 and Jan. 8-28 in High Plains; Zone 3: Oct. 26 to Jan. 7 and Jan. 8-28 in High Plains; Zone 4: Oct. 7 to Dec. 19. Daily bag limit: six (with restrictions); daily possession limit: three times the daily bag.

Youth — Zone 1: Oct. 7-8; Zone 2: Sept. 30 to Oct. 1; Zone 3: Oct. 21-22; Zone 4: Sept. 30 to Oct. 1. Daily bag limit: six (with restrictions); daily possession limit: Three times the daily bag.

Dark goose — East Unit: Oct. 30 to Feb. 11; Niobrara: Oct. 30 to Feb. 11; North Central: Oct. 7 to Jan. 19; Panhandle Unit: Oct. 30 to Feb. 11; Platte River Unit: Oct. 30 to Feb. 11. Daily bag limit: five; possession limit: three times the daily bag.

just got back from nebraska - sadly 80 degrees, sunny is just not good duck hunting weather. the outfitter is one hard working dude. i'll be going back with him - in february he shoots a hellofvalot of white geese

Butch: Yeah, early season can be hot or cold. Last year we hit warm weather and no migrating birds. Was home one day when boom! Birds every where and limits on Mallards and Geese were daily. The light geese are unbelievable, you will see

My guide friend in Arkansas took his grandson and another buddy this morning. They had their limit of Specks in 20 minutes. The young man had to go to school so they missed the big flights of Snows/Ross & Blue Geese.

For Sea ducks: We have about 10 open days in December but only one day left in January. Cost is $350 per day, hunt for sea ducks and Brant (Brant season varies, so check open dates before booking). Sometimes we'll target divers and Canada Geese; hunters choice. The target for most is trophy quality birds; Common Eider, Old Squaw (long-tails), and 3 species of Scoter: Black, Surf & white wing. Drive and stay in Sandwich, MA. Good motels/food available. We can hunt up to four hunters per day. Hunt from shore (beach or jetty's) or out of our dedicated duck boat. If your wanting to collect most or all of the sea ducks & Brant, I'd recommend 3 days if available. Any specifics, just ask or email me. LDK

I am currently working out the details for trophy duck hunting in Florida. Deadline to submit an application for the south Florida WMA's is December 4, 2017 and my guide only has a 3 day window left open for the 26-28th of January 2018, but now is a good time to discuss next years hunting. He specializes in Florida Mottled duck, Fulvous and Black-bellied Tree Ducks, Blue-wing Teal (drakes) with the usual Pintail, Wigeon, Ringneck etc. Main focus would be on the first 4 birds. Location is out of Ft Myers and areas around Lake Okeechobee & south. You will hunt mornings and afternoons if your limit isn't filled in the morning hunt. More details forthcoming.

This morning in Nebraska...and the geese are re-populating faster than we can cull them. A lot of folks are in for some fine eating. These grain fed birds are excellent table fare. A six gun team worked these over with 2 bands being taken. Not much time left in the migration, so hurry if you want some of this action! $175 per day. License, food, lodging not included. Plenty in the nearby town.
