I’m doing 4 Aoudad hunts this year. 2 in Oct/Nov and two in late Jan/early Feb. I have one spot open in late October early November because a client moved his hunt. Dates are pretty flexible. The early hunts are during the rut. They seem to be easier to locate at this time. The Feb hunts are easier because it’s colder, food is more scarce and patterning them seems to be easier. $4000 total. $1500 deposit and $2500 balance due when you shoot a sheep. If you want to hunt in 2023/24 season it’s $4500 total thanks to the insane 100-200% increase in cost of feed and fertilizer. Spot and stalk, lodging and 1x1 guide. Bring food and cook in the kitchen at the ranch. Ranch is in NW Texas, 80 miles West of Wichita Falls. Can fly to Amarillo and drive 150 miles, or DFW and drive 220 miles. I've hunted with Wendell numerous times and three trips to take my Aoudad. They can be that difficult or as easy as my friend who took his within the first hour. No Fly's on these Sheep, their eyesight and noses are keen as any wild Sheep. Terrain is perfect Aoudad country and there is no shortage of Sheep. Wendell is an excellent host and I've enjoyed every trip with him.
