I believe they also call it "own use" in Namibia, where the hunter shoots an Elephant under a government permit with an outfitter, with the meat, tusks and hide becoming property of the local tribe. It's the government's way to provide the indigenous folks with meat during their winter. | |||

Biebs, you are correct, the term is OWN use not self use... But the community only gets the meat, the tusks (if any) belongs to the government.
