This is a hunt for a Self-Use Elephant in an excellent location at a reduced price.

Zimbabwe The common name or definition of a non-exportable quota is called
PAC (PROBLEM ANIMAL CONTROL)
another term used is
Non-Trophy or Non-Export (Non trophy hunts are usually discounted hunts offered from the CITES quota to hunters from countries where the they live do not allow the importation of the species.

BiebsI believe they also call it "own use" in Namibia, where the hunter shoots an Elephant under a government permit with an outfitter, with the meat, tusks and hide becoming property of the local tribe. It's the government's way to provide the indigenous folks with meat during their winter.

Karl SBiebs, you are correct, the term is OWN use not self use...
But the community only gets the meat, the tusks (if any) belongs to the government.
