Wasn't planning on doing a third black bear hunt this year but the number of bears we're starting to see move already has me excited.

Looking to do this as a 2 on 1 hunt. So grab a friend, your wife, or a son or daughter and let's have some fun chasing big bears around.

Hunt price will be $3000 U.S. per hunter for 7 full days hunting and this includes all license, tags, royalties for 2 black bears each.

We target bears in the 6 to 7 1/2 foot range. There are also a decent number of coloured bears in this area as well.

Regular price for this hunt is $4,500

We typically see between 18-45 bears per week while doing these spot and stalk hunts. Transportation while hunting is 4wd pick up and side by side ATV's. This hunt is low impact and can be done by anybody.

Myself the outfitter will be the guide for this hunt and accommodations will be a 5th wheel holiday trailer with all the comforts of home. No leaky tents or mountain house on this hunt.

The hunt dates will be May 25th to May 31st. Arrive in Grande Prairie, AB the day before your hunt and depart Grande Prairie, Alberta the day after.

Black bears can be taken home with you so there will be no other shipping costs down the road either.

Sorry Erin, unfortunately these dates are set. I've got other hunters and guides going before this and I have to head north as soon as this hunt is finished to get ready for our fall season.

Rifle success rate will be 90% on two bears over 6 foot squared for each hunter. The hunters that don't kill a second bear chose not to because they are looking for something over 7 feet and colour phase.

Archery success will be close to 75% on the first bear and 50% on a second bear.

Lots of the areas are open and stalking within 30-50 yards can be difficult. Many stalks are blown unless conditions are perfect.

Thanks for all the interest and calls. This hunt will be available for another 4-5 days then I'm heading into grizzly camp and it will be off the market. We'll be hunting this area for 3 weeks before this bear hunt starts and will have these bears pegged by then. If a couple friends are looking for some slammer bears now is the time to pull the trigger Wink

Hey folks

I've got one hunter that is interested in coming with another single hunter to share camp with for this 2 on 1 hunt. So for $2500 you can show up and hunt with another AR member and shoot a couple bears each.

I'm not sure what the members name is on here but if he wants to comment and let us know I'm sure he will.
