Folks, this hunt is being offered by a great friend of mine in the Limpopo Province of SA. The Balule is part of the Greater Kruger, thus just like the the Timbavati, Klaserie, Mthimkulu, Letaba, etc, you are hunting for the opportunity to take one of the huge bulls that wander the 5 million plus acres, that incorporate the Kruger/Greater Kruger system. I assure you, these bulls are wild buffalo. They are not penned or raised buffalo!

I've personally hunted with Jan, as have numerous clients from GHR. He's a wonderful operator, and this hunt will provide you the opportunity to hunt some of the biggest buffalo available in southern Africa.

Normal Price:
10-days at $23,500.00 all inclusive

Hunt Special:
10-days at $15,000.00 1x1 or $13,500.00 2x1 (2 buffalo are available) price is All Inclusive
Hippo is also available for a $3,500.00 trophy fee

Hunter/s need to arrive in Hoedspruit, SA. From there, Jan will meet you at the airport and the rest is just fun! Commercial flights are available from Joberg to Hoedspruit on SAA, etc. So getting to the hunt area is easy. Plus, if you get done early, you can tour Kruger Park, as one of the main tourist entrances is only 45 minutes from Jan's place.

Balule Bull!!

I can back Aaron up on Jan, I have hunted numerous times with him from lion to leopards and he is top notch. His camp is great, food is excellent and will be back with him some day again. I know a little of his Balule concession and where it is located and it's like stepping back 30 yrs. However the small towns and road system all along the area Jan hunts are great for added creature comforts for spouses also.
I am waiting for him to get a leopard tag someday in that concession myself...

Jan runs a class operation and has pulled some exceptional Buffalo out of the Balule with his clients!!!

Where is the Balule area?

Mike, it forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. No fences between the park and the Balule, which is about 60,000 acres big if I remember correctly. It is also in this way connected to the Timbavati, Klaserie, Manyeleti and a bunch of smaller private reserves, ALL with no fences between each other or the parks.
