I have one opening left this fall for a boat based Brown Bear hunt in PWS Alaska. October 14-24 2010. Home base will be our 50' yatch "Ruffinit" (3 bedroom, 2 bath's) where you will have hot showers, a warm bed and good food. We have dryers on board if your hunting clothes get wet from rainy days. Get a good nights sleep instead of sleeping onshore in a cold tent. Discount price of this hunt: $16,200 (regular price $18,000). A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking, with the balance due 60 days before the start of the hunt.

Additional expenses include Alaska non-resident hunting license and appropriate tags.
We do sell tags and licenses for the State of Alaska, so they will be ready for you once you arrive. Please bring cash /check for those.
License Cost
U.S. Non-Resident Hunting License $85
Tag Fees Brown Bear $ 500
Grizzly Bear $ 500
Dall Sheep $ 425
Caribou $ 325
Mountain Goat $ 300

I wouldn't touch a hunt with a newbie in the Sound with a 10' pole! Regardless of the comfort factor the sound is a difficult place to hunt.

I tend to use more than enough gun

"bear guide" if you want to advertise your own hunts, feel free to do so, but why do it on my post?

"waterrat" you too are welcome here to run your own ad, or do you just prefer to sabotage someone else? If your the only one who can successfully operate in the sound, tell everyone all about it, but not here.

David, you are right shouldn't have said anything on this post. sorry. Don't really need to advertise Brown bear as am booked for several years but do like to use this forum for hunts that I haven't booked. My point was it seems not everyone uses this as a place to sell discounted hunts.Good luck to you.
