Outfitter - Cabot Pitts

Area - Katmai Preserve

Hunt Year - 2022 (Spring)

Friends...I have one hunt left in the Katmai National Preserve with Cabot - for spring 2022. The Katmai, on the Alaska peninsula produces some really big bears!!

The Sugarloaf area of the Katmai Preserve covers roughly 220 square miles of prime brown bear habitat. The Katmai Park and Preserve is known for its high concentration of brown bears. The concession borders the Katmai State Park on the southern boundary and the McNeil River State Game Sanctuary is due east of the easterly boundary. The large numbers of salmon that rear and spawn in this concession each fall are a critical food source that results in the excessively high numbers of brown bears that call the area home. With a limited amount of tags per year, we focus on trophy-sized boars in the 9½ to 10 foot plus range!

Hunts are rarely available here...but our last 3 clients took a 9' 6" (current AR regular) a 10' 1" and a 10' 2" boar (see pics below)

Dates: May 9 - 20, 2022

Price: $27,000

License / Tag: $1,170

Aaron just a shot on your pictures being blurry. Photobucket flat out sucks and coheres people into buying their extra space...in other words they want you to pay. What leads me to think this is your problem is they have their water mark on the pics and they are blurry. They do crap like this. You may want to try Imgur.com
Little harder to navigate and most the time you have to edit and shrink the pic size, but none of this Photobucket crap.

That is the main reason I won’t post any pics

Instead use postimage.org It's easier to use. There are instructions in the suggestions section here on AR.

I hunted with Cabot but it was in the fall of 2017. Be happy to answer any questions. I didn't hunt the spring, so I really can't comment on what happened with him on his spring 2020 hunts nor do I know how he did in the spring of 2018. I know he was 3 of 4 in the fall of 2017 and the only guy that didn't score was a guy who didn't want to walk more than 700 yards from the tent.

Cabot has really good gear and the food was outstanding.
