Looking for an Archery hunt this fall? I have a great one available in Idaho on a private ranch (fair chase)for this fall: 5 day hunt for Whitetail or Mule Deer (your tag allows you to take either) AND a cow Elk for $2,400 + tags and license. Accommodations are in our beautiful lodge and meals are included. Unlike many areas, there is a resident herd of Elk and Deer that feed regularly in the ranches alfalfa fields. This season starts August 30th and ends September 30th. Hunt from blinds, stands or spot and stalk. Tags are over the counter, no draw! Bull Elk rifle season runs October 15th-November 8th and is a 5 day hunt for $3,800. Tags are OTC as well. Antelope are on the ranch but are by draw only. Located near Salmon, ID. Non resident hunting License: $154.75 Deer Tag: $301.75 (good for either WT or Mule deer buck) Elk Tag: $416.75 Archery Stamp: $20.00 Youth hunts are available as well and license and tags are VERY cheap for kids: Lic $31.75 tag $23.75. We will draw for Idaho bull Elk tags in the NFS Salmon-Challis Nat'l Forest next month (1st draw). Area 29 is known for huge bulls but odds are 1 in 3 to draw. If your unsuccessful in the first draw, you can reapply later. Also, if your still not successful in the second draw, you can buy an OTC tag and hunt our private ranch (fair chase). Cost is $3,800 and includes food, lodging (tented camps), horses and guide. 6 day hunt. Contact ASAP me for assistance in applying. Idaho will increase the Wolf limit this year to 5 from what I understand. Non-resident tags are $31.75 each. If your Elk hunting and have a Wolf tag, no charge to kill these vermin. We can also add a Deer and make it a combo hunt. Some very good Mulie bucks are in area 29. Big Timber Outfitters are your registered outfitter. Now is the time until the end of the month for the 1st draw. Any leftover tags will be drawn for later, but I'll get you in both. If you don't draw the FS area, you can buy an over the counter bull tag and hunt the ranch. Archery tags are over the counter. Only gun hunts are draw. The first draw deadline was June 5th for rifle tags. Second draw is forthcoming if you want to try and draw an Elk tag in our unit. However, there is no draw needed for our archery hunt. License and tags are over the counter. I just returned from the nat'l forest area and there are lots of Elk, Whitetails, Mule Deer and Bear. Bear hunts are $1,600; OTC wilderness rifle Mule deer $3,800; Rifle/archery Elk hunts $3,800 (Fully stocked Archery drop camps available at $2,000 per person. Included are tents, cots, lanterns, and a wood stove. A kitchen tent is also provided with tables, lanterns, firewood, cooking utensils, and plenty of food and soft drinks. We also pack you, your gear & your game out by Horseback, check on you regularly, offer updates on game movements). 6% State tax added to all hunts + your Non-resident License ($157) and tag(s). We plan on offering a private ranch hunt for Deer (whitetail or mule deer) plus a cow Elk for $2,400. Contact me for details.
