Aren't the bear tags limited in number and none are sold after a certain number of bears are taken? Am I mistaken in thinking this? Karl Evans

Would love to help you out on the sheep. All I have to do is just draw the darn thing.

I finally drew my goat tag last year, after 10 years of applying. I got a nice 9" goat in unit G11. Still working on the sheep tag. Maybe this year. That is partly correct on the bears. In all of my units the bear tags are over the counter with caps. There are a predetermined number of tags available for each rifle season, archery, and muzzleloader season. They are sold over the counter and when the number is reached they are gone. There are early season rifle bear tags, available through the drawing, that ran, in 2010, from Sept. 2-30, which is also during archery and muzzleloader seasons. This is my favorite of the bear seasons. I got one three years ago with my .44 revolver that made Boone and Crocket.
