Colorado High Country Hunts
Booking for 2011. These are fair chase hunts in the high country of Western Colorado. Hunting is done in the Aspen/Independence Pass area to Carbondale/Marble. All big game including goat and sheep.

Drop Camps; $1000 to $1500 per man.

Guided Hunts; $3500 per man.

Sheep or Goat; $5000

Elk and Deer hunts are all combination. If you want to hunt bear in addition, just buy the tag. All hunts are 5 days of hunting.
Our area is all classic Colorado high country - roadless areas and designated wilderness. We hunt horseback and on foot, mostly at elevations from 9000' to above timberline. Over 30 years in the hunting business. We also offer great pack trips and fishing in numerous above timberline lakes for Cutthroat Trout.

Aren't the bear tags limited in number and none are sold after a certain number of bears are taken? Am I mistaken in thinking this?

Would love to help you out on the sheep.
All I have to do is just draw the darn thing.

I finally drew my goat tag last year, after 10 years of applying. I got a nice 9" goat in unit G11. Still working on the sheep tag. Maybe this year.
That is partly correct on the bears. In all of my units the bear tags are over the counter with caps. There are a predetermined number of tags available for each rifle season, archery, and muzzleloader season. They are sold over the counter and when the number is reached they are gone. There are early season rifle bear tags, available through the drawing, that ran, in 2010, from Sept. 2-30, which is also during archery and muzzleloader seasons. This is my favorite of the bear seasons. I got one three years ago with my .44 revolver that made Boone and Crocket.
