Forever Africa Safaris/Terry Anders is offering what I think is an amazing price on a leopard/sable/PG hunt or just a PG hunt your choice.

These hunts are offered on Broadwell where Terry has secured the whole quota for '13. Broadwell is a 10,000 acre fenced private property 50 km from the airport in Bulawayo. I hunted Broadwell last year for a couple of days and a good variety of game including big leopard are definitely there in good numbers plus the camp is very comfy with permanent stone and thatch chalets. Also a hunt on Broadwell will offer camp and area exclusivity for the duration of your safari.

Broadwell is in easy driving distance from Victoria Falls and Hwange park making a combination hunt and photo safari very easy to do. Terry has his own photo tour outfit allowing us to organize a photo/hunting safari seamlessly all with one company.

Pricing:

1x1 15 days leopard/sable/PG $775 per day normal price $1,000 per day

2x1 8 day plains games only $350 per day normal $600 per day

Trophy fees:

Leopard/sable $4,000 each discounted $500 each

PG discounted 10%
Kudu $1125 was $1250
Eland $1350 was $1500
Zebra $990 was $1100
Wildebeest $765 was $850
Warthog $405 was $450
Impala $243 was 270
Giraffe $1350 was $1500
Klipspringer $765 was $800
Common duiker $225 was $250
Steenbok $360 was $400

Extras:

Observer $275 per day
Road transfer $100 RT Bulawayo-Broadwell
Leopard CITES $100
2% tax on daily fees
4% tax on trophy fees
MARS $10 per day per person
Pre baiting $200 per day plus baits
Dip/pack dependent on # of animals taken
Rifle rental $45 per day plus ammo at Zim cost

I don't know where you'd find another leopard/sable combo let alone a quality PG hunt at this price.

Contact me anytime with your questions.

Leopard in a fenced area? I was not aware of fenced areas for Leopard. Now I have learned something today.

Not trying to tread on this thread. So the Sable is a fenced hunt and the Leopard is in another area?

Mark, does Terry have a website. Was fun to meet him at SCI and chat.

I think what Aaron was trying to say is that leopards cannot be fenced in like other animals.Great offer Mark!

I have hunted broadwell a couple of times. It is rolling hills with a lot of big rocky areas in the hills. Saw klipspringer there. Good thick brush in a lot of it made for some great stalking. It is surrounded by a lot of unused farm lands. I am sure the leopards come and go. I have seen leopard tracks every time I was there.

Guys,

A fence does not hold leopard, warthog, bushbuck and a number of other smaller species. They just go under the fence. In the fenced areas I've been on there actually are openings made in bottom of the fence to allow game to move back and forth so they won't randomly dig holes under the fence. Also kudu and eland will jump a 8' fence pretty easily. The fence does contain most herd animals like zebra, wildebeest and sable. The leopards patrol the enclosure as part of their territory because there is plenty of food there.

I hunted plainsgame on this property last year. A leopard killed a kudu cow and carried her up into the kopjes. It woke me up at night howling.

pevtsovy,

Yeah! John told Terry it was a very big cat and fed on the kudu for 4 days. The average leopard does not tackle a full grown kudu cow very often.
