Outfitter Corne Du Plessis has advised me he has received one Leopard permit for the Lephalale area of northern South Africa. This is one of 52 permits issued in RSA for this year. Having hunted in this area and seen the Tom's that come out of here, I can attest to the overlooked quality of Leopards living in the area. Several of our AR PH's live and hunt this area and those in the know are familiar with the these cats.
Details:
Total Daily rate, Pre baiting fee and permit.
Minimum of 14 days @ $800.00 per day = $11,200.00
VAT of 14% on daily rate = $ 1,568.00
Baiting fee = $ 1,000.00
Leopard permit fee = $ 950.00
Subtotal = $14,718.00

Leopard trophy fee $ 8,000.00
(Payable when leopard is shot or wounded)

Total (If leopard is shot) $22,718.00

To confirm this leopard safari the full Total Daily rate, Pre baiting fee and CITES permit is required as deposit. The amount is $14,718.00

Please note that the daily rate, baiting and permit fee are payable in full and are non refundable, whether the leopard is shot or not. This is also applicable even if leopard is shot before end of 14 days.

No refund of deposit can be made if the client cancels the safari. This is because the permit gets issued in the name of the hunter and is not transferable. TOPS application must be submitted on or before 29 March 2013!

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
