I have a 5 day, late season muzzle loading hunt for Whitetails in Kentucky (mid December). Dates will be set by the KY DNR but it usually opens around the second weekend of December. George Cummins is the outfitter/guide. A number of TV celeb's hunt (including one of our own) with George and he has filmed for several hunting shows. Hunt is in several counties but centers out of Lawrenceburg, KY. Great area for big bucks. I shot an 11 pointer the first evening I hunted, then took two additional antlerless deer. I have two openings left for this hunt at $1,800 per hunter. Includes transportation during the hunt; food and lodging. Field care of trophy. Taxidermy prep or mounting as well as meat care can be arranged locally. This hunt takes place on any one of several large farms. Great habitat for deer with food plots and feeders legal in KY. I might have one or two spots left open for the 3rd rifle hunt but the 1st and 2nd week are sold out (around the last week of November). $2,150.00 for rifle hunt. I have one week open (IMHO the best week to bow hunt: pre/rut time) for bow: the last week of October. $1,800 for the archery hunt. George offers some great opportunities for Whitetails, with many in the area going over 140-150 inches. I held a 196 inch bow kill in my hands. Second deer a 17 year old bow hunter had ever taken with a bow. Cabela's has a new store about 45 minutes away if you have time for a side trip. This town is the home of Wild Turkey & Four Roses Bourbon. License and tag will be $260.00 this year which allows you one buck and one Doe. I paid $15 for an extra tag that is good for 2 antlerless deer. Lots of corn/beans/winter wheat/mast in this area so deer are fat as hogs. Contact if you want a spot or for more details.

196 inch bow kill. 40 inches of browtines

Good 8 point!

One row of antlers hanging in the local Taxidermy shop. Many more were on the other walls. Season was still open!

I used a Cutting Edge Bullet in .45 ACP 240 grains. 100 grains of 777 loose powder. Range:120 yards. This bullet takes no prisoners...period!

Looks like a deal: Inexpensive, no high pressure, no need to rent a car if you fly into Lexington, more than decent-sized deer with a possibility of a big one.... Who'll join me, 'cause I'm in along with David and an anonymous guy with buffalo horn holes in his underwear.

We'll have fun!

the 196" was killed with a bow, not a muzzle loader. The 150 class 8 point was killed by the outfitter during rifle season.

This is true Chuck. George is holding his nice 8 point (pic above) on one of the farms we hunt on and here's Tim's velvet 10 point he took last Fall with G. I shot two antlerless deer out of the same field.

How is asking if the antlers you pictured in your offer a deer killed on these properties a "BS question"? Would that not suggest that the horns you pictured are "BS"?
I have zero tolerance for you and as I told you before; I won't ever do business with you under any circumstances....period.
Ya, well that's nice but you posted an offer to the public on a public forum, guess what? Everyone gets to ask questions, and the same public gets to decide whether your replies appear to be genuine or evasive and deceptive.
Those that know me know who's bucks these are, who killed them and where they were taken.
Really? Well, from what you posted, those who don't know you would probably think that they were shot on the properties that you are offering for this hunt. So, why don't you dig out from under your BS and clear that up so your potential clients know.
Anyone else can ask a legit question and I'll gladly answer...just not you!
I think what you mean is that anyone can ask a legit question as long as it is one you are comfortable answering.
Now I ask you politely, go bother someone else.
Interesting, I find it telling that me asking you if the deer you pictured in the hunt offer came from this hunt "bothers" you

Good luck to those going on the hunt, hope you have a good time.

Update: Two new farms have been leased increasing the already huge hunting lands substantially. Fella's, if any of you are dedicated archers, the last week of October gets no better in our region. George has that week open for bow only. Cost is $1,800 and includes lodging/food and plenty of hunting sites for the opportunity of a Pope and Young buck. 4 spots available.

BTT/Update (Preliminary Report). I've made the drive to Kentucky for this hunt. Communications with the Outfitter have been good. Getting a non-resident license was a simple matter of going to the local Walmart. I'm geared up for a (northern) mid-December deer hunt and it's simply cool here with no snow. Not sure I'll need all my heaters and such!

Stay tuned. It's all about the organization/scouting I encounter starting tomorrow as I ain't mad at them deer.

I whacked a shooter this morning; not tall, not particulary wide, but lots of mass and a lot character. And it was DRT with no drama. Unable to post pics for the moment but will.

Double Don, Begno, Dave and George are all out this evening.

A more detailed report will follow. Suffice it to say am enjoying the company of some very neat AR people. Being plied with oysters supplied by Double Don and Cajun stuff from Butch is a real treat

Back home. Had a great time and enjoyed some outstanding food and company. Hunting was fair due to warm temps but everyone saw deer. Our group consisted of: Matt Norman, Double Don, Begno, Mark Thornell and myself. Unfortunately, Judge G had unavoidable conflicts and had to bow out.
Begno brought some of the best Crawfish etouffee I've ever tasted (his wife is some cook!), pecan pies, boudin, breads and a spicy spread that was really good. Double Don brought smoked Moose, Moose steaks and more oysters than we could eat. Of course we had a few landlubbers in camp that wouldn't try any of those Smiler They missed out. Had Elk chili one night, pork loin another that George's wife prepared. It was excellent on both accounts. We met up with Tim Herald one evening for a night out then went to his home to enjoy some fine conversation (about hunting of course) and view some of his trophies. He's a fine host and a good friend. Always a pleasure to visit with Tim.
3 out of 5 in our group took bucks, while 2 held out for one of those giants that Kentucky is famous for. Trail camera's revealed early on that those studs with moving only at night as temps were in the 50s most of the week. Only on the last day did the temperature begin to fall and by the day after our hunt ended did they fall down into the low 30s with snow predicted for the weekend. I saw lots of deer with one morning yielding a total of 25 seen by 10am with 5 shooter bucks out of my muzzle loaders range. One was at 183 yards but I gave him a pass as he was one of those 2 1/2 year olds that will really be something if he makes it for 2-3 more years.
Wound up with a 9 point buck that has a 3rd main beam growing next to his right antler pedicle. Appears as a 3 inch spike.
Already booking for next years archery, rifle and muzzle loading hunts, so contact me ASAP if your interested.
