I believe both ibex cost in the 13-15k ballpark several years ago before they decreased the number of permits. With increase in price from decreasing the permit numbers, the (no doubt) several thousand dollars of included expense, and the gazelle I'd imagine that's just about right.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

I thought I saw somewhere that the Mongol govt now charges 5k as a govt fee for each Ibex. I think this is why the Mongolian hunts are now double of what they were just a few years ago. Maybe someone can clarify this.

Damn Mongols might ruin the rest of the ibex hunts on the planet.

I just hope the Kazak, Russian, Krygiz, Pakastan, and Tajik governments don't follow suit.

I shot a 45.5 inch Ibex in Mongolia in 99 for $4,000. Cabela's hunt, no less. Guess those days are over.
