Fellow Waterfowlers; I have the following hunts available: Massachusetts with Cullen Lundholm: Hunt puddle ducks, divers, geese/brant or sea ducks. Cost is $300 per per hunter, per day. Enjoy some of the best wing shooting on the east coast for big Eider's, Old Squaw/Longtail, 3 species of Scoters (whitewing, black & surf) and Brant. Atlantic Black Duck, Pintails, Canada Geese, divers and more. Dec-Jan is best for trophy birds but hunting is good usually from the opening day on. If your a single hunter, I'll try and get you in with a couple of other hunters when possible. Here are this coming season dates and bag limits: Coastal seasons 2016-2017 Ducks Limit 6 (see MA regs for details) Oct 14-22 Nov 17-Jan 27 Brant Nov 21-Jan28 Limit 2 per day 6 in possession Sea ducks Nov 21-Jan 28 : Limit 5** with 15 in possession ** Singly or in the aggregate, no more than 4 scoter, 4 eider (but no more than 1 hen), 4 long-tailed duck [oldsquaw] in the daily bag. Nebraska with Travis Pool: Dates are generally from mid Oct through mid December. $150 per day, per hunter. This is a waterfowl mecca for puddle ducks and geese. Divers not so much but there are a good number of Redheads around. Geese include Canada, Speckle belly, Snow, Blue & Ross. Ducks are Pintail, Mallard, Widgeon, Gadwall, etc. Local hotels are good as is available food. Repeat hunters book early so get with me if you want to get in on some great hunting! Pintails? There have been a few shot here, but I'd not put them in an ad as if they were a realistic target. In my casual, extended group of waterfowling junkie friends, where literally hundreds of years of collective duck hunting are represented, there have been maybe a dozen pintails taken in the past 20 years. That includes the ones Cullen shot last year or the year before last. That all said, Cullen's a good dude and will put people on plenty of birds. KG P.S. Remaining dates for Nebraska as of 8-20-16 are: Oct. 10th-30th Nov. 7,8,9th Nov.. 21st,22nd Dec. 2nd-20th However, some of those dates are only waiting on deposits ($150 per person). Dates for MA waterfowl are scattered but most likely one can get a date on or near their choice. Update: Remaining dates for Nebraska as of 10-6-16 are: Oct. 10th-30th Nov.. 21st,22nd Dec. 2nd-20th Goose is open during regular duck season with the exception of Canada geese. That season begins Nov 1st. License is $85 plus NE duck stamp $5 & Habitat stamp $20 plus Federal Waterfowl stamp. You need those to hunt in the late light geese season in February. Check with me for current dates. ($150 per person, per day). Dates for MA waterfowl are scattered but most likely one can get a date on or near their choice. Hunts for trophy birds will start in December When the migration has the most birds and plumage is prime. $300 per day, hunt only. Arkansas goose hunts: $300 per day includes food & lodging. 45 minutes from Stuttgart. Get your license online or at Mack's Prairie Wings in Stuttgart. Snow, Blue, Ross, White Front (Specks) and (Canada geese on occasion). Great area to get those trophy birds for your collection. If there are a lot of ducks in the area, you may opt to hunt those. AR has split seasons so check the ARG&F site or contact me for details. Although the migration via the Mississippi and Central flyways have been slow, colder weather now has the birds moving south. Reports are coming in daily with ducks, geese and cranes moving south. If you've been waiting to book, do it now while northern seasons remain open. East coast sea ducks etc., looking good. I have MA, AR & NE starting to produce better each day. My guy in Nebraska is hammering the ducks and geese. The last two days have been outstanding! Getting an open date will be the challenge but goose season will extend much longer than duck. 3 limits of geese and mallards this morning. Geese are doing it in NE & AR. AR is just now getting ducks due to the late migration. Sea ducks & Brant are on fire in MA. Take a look at these birds just taken. Can you guess which bird would be a real trophy? Hint: They are normally found in AK. We only have a couple of open dates and both are in January. If you ever wanted to smash some sea ducks, Brant and Atlantic Black Ducks, now would be a good time.
