Above pix are our own crbutler at the top and two other recent bulls not boooked through me. Fred Sorenson that I've worked with for several years has 2 openings 1-9 Sept and 1 opening 11-19 Sept. for AK/Yukon moose Fred only takes 6-8 moose hunters each year and moose are the only animals he guides for. This means you'll have a very personalized experience. Fred's area is in the Alaska range and extremely remote. The area is fairly open and conducive to the use of ATV's. Fred uses a Polaris Ranger to cover his area so no butt busting walks over miles of tundra are allowed on this hunt. Most of the hunting is done by spotting a big bull from a vantage point and then making a stalk. The Ranger really increases the ground that you can cover and gets you into practical stalking distance quite easily. This hunt is perfect for anyone wanting a wilderness experience but having some mobility difficulties or if they just don't see the value in ass busting. You fly into Fairbanks and overnight there. The next day you'll be met at your hotel and driven to Salcha for your bush flight into moose camp. You then will do your hunt and at hunts end or once you've taken your moose you'll fly back to Salcha to be driven to Fairbanks. Camp is a traditional wall tent affair with comfortable cots and wood burning stoves. There is also a shower for the brave. Food is excellent and hunters gain weight on this one. Fred will take care of your horns and meat so you don't have to deal with the shipping etc. I really like this feature as I lived in the AK bush for 22 years and watched many out of state hunters struggling at the airport with meat and horns. Trophy expectations should be for a bull in the high 50's through low 60's. Actual success year to year is 80% plus. If you have cool and dry weather you may see a grea tmany bulls on this hunt. Price: 1x1 $12,000 Lic. $85 Tag $400 Transfer Fairbanks-Salcha $150 There is no extra charge for bush flights or extra meat halls. Successful or not ever hunter I've had with Fred has been happy with their hunt. Contact me anytime with your questions. MARK H. Butch, Last time I spoke to Art's wife they were not sure if they wanted to continue the hunting program. I think he likes the flying better than the hunting. Mark MARK H.
