Yes I must admit i have put a few bucks in a passport but only to speed things up or get on with the hunt sooner.I dont like to see hard working guys be mislead about the price of a hunt by a cheapo price and put down their bucks and be hit with charges they dont understand after the fact. The low price advertisers know they have to add on to make up the difference. That being said some of my best African hunts happend with an agent who did a true all inclusive package hunts in the early 2000s where there were NO hidden costs.

But I don't see where Igor is asking for additional money from what he quoted for the hunt. He isn't tacking on expense that I can see. It seems he is just asking to be paid in full as all outfitters do prior to shipping the trophies. I'm not saying things didn't go drastically wrong here but I've been "detained" a couple of times on a hunt as well only to have things work out in the end; once in Zim 2008 at the Bietbridge border crossing and once in Moscow returning from a brown bear hunt in Kamchatka when our representative meet the fellow with our CITES permits in the local shopping mall parking lot on the way to the airport. The Zim incident was just a few of Bob's thugs looking for a bride (which they did not get) while the second was a Russian policeman checking out what looked to him like suspicious behavior. There is a lot of he said she said in this issue at this point. However, and this is just me, whether or not I ultimately received the trophies from Igor, I would go ahead and pay the balance of the hunt. Why? Well because that is what I contracted to do. At this point, we have two parties that are blaming each other. If it were me, I would hold up my end of the bargain, then judge the man on whether or not he lived up to his end, knowing I had done what was right. Then, after paying for what I had contracted, if the trophies still didn't show up, at that point it would be more believable to spread the word about a disreputable outfitter. I would really find it hard to trash the guy knowing I hadn't paid my way in full. BTW Dogcat, the No. 1 item in your list: "Use an agent"; Profyhunter or Igor IS the agent in this deal.

I read the whole story several times and I still don't see where you have been arrested!? And I still don't see why this is Igors fault. I don't know the outfitter Adilet but I know some guys who have hunted with him. He used to have a good reputation. I understand that you are not happy about the sitatuion but I just don't see an evil fraud by Igor or Adilet.

Like someone said in another forum with same subject - put a picture in your trophy room and enjoy it . Based on the facts stated here , i would not send my money to the agent before i was sure my trophies were in good conditions.
