www.jeffcnealinc.com/specials/I just got off the phone with outfitter in Utah who has a rut hunt for Elk with a Muzzle-loader for 2010, and it's at a price far below the average Utah Elk hunt. For this hunt, expect a 350"-370" bull. The hunt is $9,000 including the landowner permit, but here is the kicker:
THE PERMIT IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE! The permit was purchased at the Mule Deer Foundation (a non-profit organization) for $4,500, which makes it tax deductible. The outfitter wants $4,500 for his guide fee making the total for the hunt $9,000.00. I'm not sure exactly what the tax deductible is (You will have to check with your CPA), But this will significantly discount the hunt. If the deductible falls into the 35% bracket, you will get 35% of the permit deducted from taxes, which would make the hunt $7,425.00 total, which is a screaming deal for Utah! Below are details, as well as a photo of the hunter who took this hunt last year and killed a 355" bull:
7 day hunt, 9 day itinerary September 28, 2010 - Arrive Cedar City, UT, Travel to Panguitch Lake area for hunt September 29-Oct. 6 - 7 Day muzzle-loader hunt October 7, 2010 - Back to Cedar City and homeward bound.
Extras: $790 for UT hunting license, Tax on daily hunting fee (6.5% on $4,500, or $292.50), gratuities to guide. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email, PM, phone or fax about this hunt.
Thanks!
