I have 4 slots open for spring Black Bear (2x1) in the Prince William Sound for June 5th-11th 2011. This is a 2x1 hunt. Our professional outfitter offers one of a kind hunts aboard our private yacht. Everything you've heard about "The Sound" is true and more! Aside from the abundant marine life it boasts perhaps the highest concentration of trophy black Bears on earth. With hides squaring from 6-7 feet it's no wonder Prince William Sound has a reputation for producing giant black Bears. Nowhere will you see a higher number of Bears, a bigger percentage of large male Bears or more perfect hides on Bears. We pride ourselves on having the best black Bear hunt currently available and the equipment and skill to make it happen. We harvest nothing but large males with perfect hides. All May dates are sold out. Cost: $5,700 per person. Hunting license: $85 Black Bear tag: $225. Deposit: 50% to book, balance due 60 days before start of hunt. Northman, Cost of the 2x1 hunt is $5,700 per hunter. For our black bear hunts you would fly into Valdez, Alaska. Alaska Airlines has two daily flights from Anchorage. One night at a hotel, then we pick you up early the next morning and we head out in the yacht. The hotel we recommend is at the waterfront and our yacht is a couple hundred yards away. No charter plane involved. On the way back another night at the hotel as we usually arrive late in the afternoon back in town. A lot of our clients stay another day and book a charter fishing day trip. There is excellent halibut and later in the season salmon fishing to be had in Valdez. Out of ten hunters last spring only one went home without a bear. He ended up missing the big boar they had waited for for days. I will see what the Anchorage to Valdez flight is expected to run next summer and current hotel costs estimates as well. Will post an update ASAP.
