Something different!

Hunt the Omay off a 52 ' houseboat on lake Kariba, vehicles will meet the houseboat at various points in the concession and you will be able to walk into hard to get to areas in search of great trophies.

Various packages available from:

7 Plains game @ $ 700/ day
7 day buffalo/ plains game @ $ 1000/ day
10 day elephant/ plains game @ $ 1300/ day

Observers @ $ 250/ day each

Elephant $ 12000
Tuskless $ 3750
Buffalo $ 3000
Hippo $ 4500
Waterbuck $ 1950
Kudu $ 1100
Zebra $ 1100
Bushbuck $ 950
Impala $ 350
Warthog $ 450

Add 2 % tax on d/ rates and t/ fees
Add dip/ pack approx. $ 650
Add charters if requested



Open to suggestions.

Facilities

Well-equipped galley and a breakfast bar

There are two large fixed dining tables with garden furniture type chairs

A feature bar with 8 bar stools on the top deck, which is fully roofed but is open sided with drop-downs

A large swimming cage. At the extreme rear of the lower deck

Cold space: one large deep freeze and one small deep freeze in the galley as well as one large and one medium sized freezer box on the rear lower deck. There are also two small portable cooler boxes for use on the tenders

Tender boats: there is one skimmer type pontoon tender boat with a 25hp outboard engine. This will comfortably carry 8 people but an extra tender may be arranged by request.

Passengers: Comfortable for 10 people in cabins- Max 12 passengers

Length: 52 ft
Engines: 2 x 160hp, 6 cylinder Cummins diesel

Cruising speed: 8 knots

Power: 220v and 12v systems

Crew: captain, cook and deck-hand

Be glad she enjoys your company that much. I can't get my wife to go again and She darn sure won't go if we're not staying in a lodge. Not gonna do the tent thing at all.
Nice deal, I wish I could go this year but, alas, it is not in the cards.

Great idea Martin! I'd love to read a hunt report from this trip. Unfortunately, I'm out for '12.
