Hi Everyone

I have some great packages I want to offer to you all in Glenmalure, County Wicklow, Ireland for the 2020/2021 season. The available species are Irish Red Stags, Japanese Sika Stags and a Hybrid of the two. The hunting season is September 1st – December 31st. Also available are Hinds and Cull hunts from November 1st – February 28th.
The private hunting area is free range and covers 20,000 acres and is surrounded by 50,000 acres of the Wicklow Mountains National Park. My outfitter has the sole hunting rights to the area.
The hunting grounds are located about one hour and fifteen minutes south of Dublin. Hunters would stay at The Glenmalure Lodge which is a short ten-minute drive to the hunting area. For the 5 night, 4 day hunts we normally book hunters in on a Sunday, hunt Monday through Thursday and depart on Friday unless your adding days to your hunt.

4 days hunting (two outings a day) for 2
Professional guide hunting 2x1
Transportation within the hunting area
Field trophy preparation
Access to tracking dogs
Transfers to Taxidermist
Official SCI Green Score Measurement
Licenses and Permits for 2

The above two packages do NOT include:
The Exclusive Package hunting 1x1 is an extra 100 euros per day
Observers 100 euros per day (this includes lodging and meals, same as the hunter)
Airport pick up and drop off 300 euros
Extra male trophy animals 1,000 euros (includes caping, prep and delivery to taxidermist)
Cull Stags 200 euros September - December
Rifles with Suppressors and Ammo 40 euros per day
Hunting Insurance 40 euros (required) www.countrysportsireland.org
Extra days 350 euros (includes room, food and guide)
Lunch each day
Alcoholic drinks
Tips
Trophy cleaning and Taxidermy work
International flights to and from Ireland

Access to tracking dogs
Transfers to Taxidermist

This Cull package does NOT include
Observers 100 euros per day (this includes lodging and meals, same as the hunter)
Airport pick up and drop off 300 euros
Rifles with Suppressors and Ammo 40 euros per day
Hunting Insurance 40 euros (required) www.countrysportsireland.org
Extra days 350 euros per day (includes room, food and guide)
Lunch each day
Alcoholic drinks

International flights to and from Ireland

I would require a deposit of 1,000 euros to be paid to me within two weeks of making the reservation. The balance would be due upon arrival at the B&B. It can be paid to the outfitter in cash (preferable), via bank transfer or credit card. Credit cards are subject to a 5% service fee.

Cancellations – Although we don’t anticipate people cancelling, we will need a minimum of 14-days written notice for a refund of the deposit. Medical emergencies can always be rescheduled as well.

The Couple's Package is a 2x1 hunt. Each hunter can take one deer each. Plus you can add more deer at trophy fee price.

Rifles recommended would be something like .243, .270, .308.

What type/caliber rifles are provided if one does not want to take their own firearms. If one were to take guns, what do you do with it while spending time touring, pre or [ost hunt.
What are typical hu t arrival day and departures, ie, Sat, Sun, Mon, etc. For extra stags and or cull stags, does that have to be identified before hunt starts. Can fallow deer and fox be added. What is there for spouses and othe no hunters to do around the hunting area?

To answer your questions:

Rifles are usually .270 or .300 Winchesters or Blaser's with suppressors.

While pre or post touring you can leave your rifle in your hotel room, that's no problem.

Arrival day/check in is normally Sunday. You would then hunt Monday through Thursday then check out on Friday unless you add days to your hunt.

I would need to know your two main targets before the hunt but you can decide to take another animal while on the hunt that's not a problem. I would advise just telling your guide when you meet that you might be interested in taking an additional animal while hunting. Extra Stags are 1,000 euros per stag. Cull stags are 175 euros each.

Fallow deer can be added but this would be in a different area about 3 hours away. Cost is 350 euros/day and 1,000 euros trophy fee. Fox can be added at 150 euros/hunter/day.

There is a Spa about 3 miles from the hunting area www.brooklodge.com where partners can go to relax. The hunting takes place close to Wicklow National Park, which has lovely trails to go walking. Also there is Glendalough where there is a monastic settlement, The Greenan Maze. If you have a look at www.glenmalurelodge.ie which is where you would be staying there is a list of other things to do in the surrounding area.

Hi everyone

I had a chat with my outfitter last night and he told me that as of 01/01/2020 his package prices are going up by €300.

If anyone is interested in booking a hunt for the 2020/2021 season book/pay your deposit before the 01/01/2020 and you will pay the prices quoted in my original post above. After this date prices will go up by €300.
