South African Kudu Safari
With Professional Hunter - CHRIS TROSKIE

Whilst the name Chris Troskie is not often spoken around every campfire, in some circles he has built quite a reputation for… saying it like it is, not taking any crap from anyone, giving his best to all his clients and (amongst others)… producing BIG Kudu…

Save for having a few articles published in hunting magazines which can hardly be described as classic, he has not written any books… In fact; Chris is anything but legendary. He is just a regular guy doing what he loves for a living and who loves to share his experiences with fellow hunters…

Chris has been licensed to hunt plains and dangerous game in South Africa for almost two decades and his favorite plains game animal to hunt still remains the majestic Kudu. His clientele list is a modest one comprising of a couple of hundred clients whom he has hosted since he started his outfit fourteen years ago. Most of them returned as happy clients - there might be one or two exceptions but screw'em anyway…

The cost of hunting quality kudu in quality areas have become expensive over the years with many Outfitters nowadays charging by the inch - much of this as result of the ridiculous prices that kudu are being sold for at game auctions…

NOW THAT I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION…

We have just recently finished building a new chalet here on our ranch - SABRISA - located near Lephalale in South Africa's Limpopo Province and my wife and I worked our butts off to get the chalet ready for this year's hunting season.

I want to share our handywork with ONE lucky couple and at the same time give ONE lucky hunter the opportunity to hunt ONE exceptional kudu bull - ear tag already removed for your convenience.

This kudu bull has not decided how he wants to die yet so this offer is open to all kinds of hunters - those who want to hunt with rifle, bow or handgun and even those who want to sit in camp and drink my beer while I do the hunting for them (at a nominal extra charge). I will even arrange to have the hunter transported to the kill when that's done and have him/her pose with the dead kudu (at a nominal charge of course).

Included in this Hunt:

7 Full Hunting Days for one hunter and one Observer
Luxury Accommodation in our new luxury Chalet - The Tipsy Zebra
One Kudu Bull (as big as we can get)
The opportunity to shoot my .458 LOTT as many times as he/she wishes as long as it is not at me
A Walgreens Photo Book with pictures of your safari

Total cost of this (1X1) safari with Chris Troskie: $4,575 for one hunter AND one observer (Value $7,700)

Trophy Fees for other animals available in the same area:

Bushbuck - $1,300
Bushpig - $750
Civet - $750
Crocodile - $6,500
Duiker - $400
Gemsbok - $1,500
Genet - $550
Honey Badger - $1,250
Impala - $450
Klipspringer - $1,200
Kudu - $3,000
Red Hartebeest - $1,400
Reedbuck (Mountain) - $950
Steenbuck - $400
Warthog - $300
Waterbuck - $2,500
Wildebeest (Blue) - $1,000
Zebra - $1,400

THIS OFFER IS VALID FOR 2017 ONLY!

Below are some of the trail cam pictures I uploaded a couple of days ago. As you will see - all the ear tags have already been removed. (I even removed the bathtub from the one watering point as this seemed to be a bone of contention when I posted earlier pics.)

So, how much is it to do the "stay in camp and drink your beer" AND "have the kudu brought to camp for pictures"?

Would it be extra to just stay in the States and have you send me pictures of my hunt? Wink

This is negotiable but I'm thinking maybe an extra $1K? To sweeten the deal for you; I'll throw in a couple of Windhoek Lagers instead of the customary Castle Lager. (better beer)

Well seeing you'll be saving yourself about Two Grand in airfare I'll meet you halfway. An extra Grand will hit the mark don't you think? To further sweeten the deal I'll exchange the Windhoek for Serengeti and drink it on your behalf... Then we can pretend we were hunting in Tanzania!

Will you also put up fences so they can't get too far away?

No need to do that. As everybody knows - all animals in South Africa are farm raised and tame enough that they will come to you when you call them by name.

RELEASE THE KUDU!

Thank you to those who responded, those who caught the humor and those who contacted (or tried to contact) me through my website.

My website lost some of its functionality including that of the "contact us" form. Resultantly some of the recent enquiries posted through the "contact us" form did not get through to me and I apologize If yours was one of them. Best way to reach me at this time would be via email or PM. My direct email is chris@ct-safaris.com.

Just to clarify; none of the animals available for hunting in any of my areas are tagged or have ever been tagged. Neither have any decided how they want to die yet. On the contrary; this is a fair chase hunt for animals that naturally occur here and have occurred here for a very, very long time.

I advertised this hunt as a once off opportunity for one Hunter and one observer for 2017 because I "liked" the idea. The hunt was sold within a day... And no - the Hunter does not want me to shoot the Kudu bull for him...

I have since "unliked" the idea of restricting this hunt to 2017 only and am now offering this opportunity for 2018 as well. Best to book your Kudu Hunt with Chris Troskie before I "like" my original idea again...

"Like", "unlike", "like"? Let's see who gets this one...
