Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

If anybody is kicking this deal around, do it!

I can vividly recall my first trip to Africa hunting Cape Buffalo in Zimbabwe with CM Safaris.
First night in camp, about two AM I wake up to the sound of somebody tuning a chainsaw outside my tent window. Grab the 450 Dakota and load it. I then announce to all and sundry that if they don't stop messing with me I am going to unload that rifle thru the window. It get quiet and I go back to sleep.

The next morning Myles calls me out the tent door for breakfast. As I step out he says, I heard you had a visit from the Black Widow last night. Hmmmmm...
He walks me around the tent and there are GREAT BIG LEOPARD tracks all around the tent.

It seems they have a big female that haunts the camp during season looking for a free handout. They bait a nearby tree and she feeds that night. A night or two later she returns with a boy friend. Bang! Dead Leopard.

It's an interesting feeling, knowing that an animal that considers you part of their food chain is prowling around at night within six feet of your bed.

Leopard is high on my bucket list...
