I have available, a Leopard application for Limpopo Province (deadline April 14, 2010). Many of you would be surprised to know just how many big toms prowl South Africa unmolested by hunters. Why? It's not easy to get a permit, so most PH's don't bother with applying. I can tell you from my own experience, that's a mistake: RSA has great Leopard opportunities and some huge cat's. Hunts are over bait, and that can be one of the most intense experiences you'll ever have; waiting out Mr. Spots. He may make you wait days, or he may show up within the first hour in the blind. Either way, it will reveal anyone with "buck fever" tendencies. Here's what I have: Leopard Safari 2010:

•Minimum of 10 days @ $590.00 per day: $5,900.00
•VAT of 14% on daily rate $826.00
•Baiting fee $1,000.00**
•Leopard permit fee $715.00
Total: $8,441.00

•Leopard trophy fee $5,850.00
(Payable when leopard is shot or wounded)
(Includes charity contribution of $1,600.00 which goes towards local schools and feeding the hungry)

•Total (If leopard is shot) $14,291.00
*The full daily rate is payable, even if leopard is shot before the end of the 10 days.
*Please note that the daily rate, baiting and permit fee are payable in full and are non refundable, whether the leopard is shot or not.
*Outstanding balance of the daily rate, baiting and permit fee is payable before the start of the safari.
*To confirm this leopard safari a deposit of $5,078.00 is required.
*No refund of deposit can be made if the client cancels the safari. This is because the permit gets issued in the name of the hunter and is not transferable.
*Deposit confirms your name is submitted for issuance of a Leopard permit. If successful, the permit will be in your name and hunt booked. If unsuccessful, your deposit shall be refunded.
*You may add days and additional species for the trophy fee.
**Baiting will begin one week before client arrives. Then we use whatever trophies get hunted during clients stay. If hunter is in only
for Leopard and we need baits they can shoot some management animals.
To make it more interesting for the client you can shoot the
following:
1 Wildebeest(management)
1 Impala(management)
Or
4 Impala (management)
Email me with questions and I'll get back to you ASAP.
Good luck,
David

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

So, being a "contribution," may I presume the "charity contriubution" of $1,600 is a voluntary payment?

Grumulkin, it is voluntary by the Outfitter and goes toward supporting a local school and feeding the hungry program. It is fully disclosed on the front end as to where the clients money goes and for what, and it's money out of his pocket not the clients. I will be glad to email you further details if you wish.
Good hunting,
David
