Outfitter: SHANGAAN HUNTERS - GLENN STOCKIL

Agent: Global Hunting Resources

Location: Senuko - Save Valley Zimbabwe

Species: Lion

Dates: The full month of May or October 2010

Folks - We have an excellent price available on this 2010 Lion hunt in the Save Valley with Glenn Stockil at SHANGAAN HUNTERS. We thought the lion hunt was sold, but now its back on the table. Many of you have seen lately the quality of the lions coming from the Save, and Senuko is no exception. I did this lion hunt in 2008 with Glenn, in mid May. I personally saw 26 lions, and took a great lion on the 11th day of the hunt. He has the whole month of May open, as well as October. I would recommend May as 1st choice, and Glenn would prefer to do it in May, but it can be done in October as well.

NORMAL PRICE: 18-day lion hunt is $45,000.00 plus $5,500.00 trophy fee

DISCOUNT PRICE: 18-day lion hunt is $25,200.00 plus $6,000.00 trophy fee Total Price $31,200.00

This is an $19,300.00 discount!!!!

Additional Fees:
D&P - $500.00
RT road transfer from Harare - $1,000.00
2% govt levy on daily rate
4% govt levy on trophy fees

Below are a couple pictures of the lion I shot with Glenn in 2008.

Well, I have recommended Glenn before and have no reservation about recommending him again. I would take this deal if I was not already booked with Gordon in Doma and if I could afford it!

It's a screaming deal and I'm trying to talk myself into it, but I just can't justify taking the time away from my practice in my first year. Just for torture's sake what are the animals on quota and what would be the "bait animals"?

Brett - Most all of the plains game species will be available. We appear to have all the buffalo sold, but I have 2 guys that paid a deposit in 2009 for buffalo, and have now went quiet, and we are not sure what the heck they are doing! So one could be available by the time the hunt comes, but do not count on it.

Bait - that's easy!! Giraffe and Zebra, primarily giraffe.

Just go. You think you'll have more time in your second, third, or fourth year of business? Nope. No way. Trust me, it only gets busier.

When I saw the deal, I GRABBED the phone. Since then, Aaron and I have corresponded and I've already eliminated myself from contention as I simply cannot be gone on May 13. No how. No way. Take away May 13 and the hunt would be sold . . . TO ME!

The 777 leaves ATL on May 2 and is only half full. The rates are great. I could have flown to JNB for $1300. Figure a couple hundred more to get to HRE. Return leg on May 22 or 23 is lightly booked as well.

This is prime time in a prime area. Established operator and PH. Not only a great deal, this is CHEAP. This is THE DEAL I was looking for in 2010. I'd like to see someone that I know get the hunt.

Please buy it.

Ms AZwriter went to pilates this am, came home, and asked me if it was okay if she went on a 4 hour run with her friend (who I call Ms Hotbody). I said, "What do I care what you do? Do what you want."

She thanked me. Ten minutes later I saw this posting and told her there was a hell of deal on a lion hunt.

"You don't need another lion!" she said.

I reminded her she got to go running, so she said, "Oh, go ahead."

But I am like Will; I am speaking at a conference in Boston during that period and I have to be there.

I hope somebody snags one of these SAVE lion hunts! Brett there is rarely a "perfect time", I am hunting Zim in May, arranged last year, and of course now we have several large/complex projects before/during/after, but you gotta just carve out a few weeks and go for it!

Brett,

If I were you, I would go.

You should take a poll of those who have hunted lions. See how many wished they would not have gone.

Nothing wrong with getting a little feedback.

Reconsider. This is the best deal on a lion you will ever see. I'll go as an observer and carry your gun. Seriously.

Brett,
Please do this hunt... you will save me some serious jack if you do! This posting has really been torturing me! I have even spoke to the wife about it...

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Sorry guys no deal. I was only able to do it in October and Aaron did everything he could to make it happen. Unfortunately Shangaan Hunters didn't really want to sell the hunt in October if at all possible. They ended up selling it for the May date. Oh well. I'm picking up my first double rifle in a few weeks and I've decided to move up my booking with Danny McCallum Safaris to next year instead of 2012. Thanks all.
