When: August 12-20, 2013

Where: Arnhem Land, Australia

What: Shoot one buff with rifle, bow, etc

Guys, I've got a great priced buffalo hunt in Australia here. The hunt is in Arnhem land (tribal). This is a new outfitter and the hunt will be a bit experimental in that you will be camping and "roughing it" a bit but the bulls will be there and you will have fun. It is priced well due to this factor and the short notice.

These are dates the outfitter needs filled and as such he has authorized me to drop the price down to attract a few guys. You would land in Darwin and be transferred to camp. Rifle import is your own responsibility but I would figure around $150-200 USD for the permits. Hunters can can fill out most everything online to get the guns in and out. If you don't want to do that he does have a .375 H&H that you could use with no issues.

Outfitter would prefer 2-3 guys but will take only 1 if you are a loner or don't have any friends that could stand to be around you that long.

Hunt will be spot and stalk for buff with hogs and other animals possible. If you smack a buff early and want to go after Banteng, that is possible as well. The "prime" dates for this hunt are from August 12-20, 2013 or a few days on either side. That way you could spend some serious time hunting buff and then transfer to the Banteng area if you wanted.

If you have any questions or need any information please feel free to PM, email, call or post them here.

I am not in the market the moment, but out of curiousity...how much for the Banteng add-on?

Tell you what, if you can convince my wife that we don't need a new house, I am in. Good luck with that! Seriously, that is a great deal all around and I wish I could snatch it up!

I would be checking with the NT Police to see if this ('new' 'experimental') outfitter is licenced. Authorities have recently stepped-up requirements to stop blow-in outfitters. Outfitters must have a Corporate (Safari Hunting) Licence, with all concessions noted, to be legal.

Yes, let us know. But please do remember the threads that trashed Nixon; some highly reputable African outfitters questioned his operation, only to be silenced by the string of successes he produced with no complaints other than the famous traveler's checks incident.

Sorry, I meant the prospective buyer could/should check.

I just looked at hunting adventure's website.

They have hunts offered in many countries, but not Australia.

May be this is their first representation, and they can tell us more about them.

Thanks guys. Yes, I anticipated some of this response as the price is significantly lower than the competition, as one even posted here. I can say that the price is so low due to the fact that this truly is a "rough it", hike and camp buff experience. The outfitter is young and I know he will do his best to walk your ass into the dirt...ha.

This price will not be available next year. It is limited to this week long hunt as he is booked the week before and after.

We all started somewhere and priced ourselves less than competitors in order to get business jump started. That is what we are seeing here. Please feel free to post any other questions. Thanks, Tom

Hunt for Adventure

Instead of the term "rough it", others use
"fly camp".

I have been on a PH expedition using a Fly camp
many years ago, in Arhnemland.

wrong. I am the first to highlight other outfitters, regardless of price, in fact I have written several articles here in Aust that did just that. But when you talk about new Arnhem Land outfitters.... considering the huge amount of paperwork and expense we have to go through to remain legal.... it does make you wonder. Cheap banteng ring bells too... I guess you could just list the concessions here? All the other ourfitters do - the legal concessions are no secret.

Matt,

You are absolutely right in that we need all the relevant details posted.

What I like to see is an offer where there no questions left to answer.

This helps both the outfitter and the prospective client.

And the reason why we do not allow third party hunt offers.

I hear ya! In the process of leaving Kalifornyastan to the socialists, so I need all the cash I can lay my hands on, too.
