Hey guys, I have a house I use for Pheasant hunting and Walleye fishing in Gettysburg, SD. I rent it out to hunters during Pheasant season. Last year was my first season with the house and it was a big success. I enjoyed time spent with old friends and made many new ones.

There is excellent pheasant hunting in a forty mile radius and fishing is 15 minutes at Lake Oahe.

The house has five bedrooms with six beds and two bathrooms. It is very comfortable. I have furnished the house with everything you need when you come including comfortable full sized beds, living room recliners for all, WiFi and big screen TV. I have set up a nice game room with pool table, Foosball, poker, chess, etc. It is decorated with hunting and fishing themes.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. It has a large, two bay garage to store gear with a bird cleaning station and freezer.

Restaurants, grocery stores, bars, pharmacy, hospital, police and hardware stores are in close proximity.

I have set up a dog barn with ten built in kennels all having outside runs for your hunting dogs. The dogs work hard so they get a comfortable place to stay. Many places dog facilities are an afterthought but my place has dogs as a priority.

Priced at $450 per person for five nights of lodging so you can hunt five days. I offer a discount to groups of five and six people. When I'm there I cook great meals and the cost is $625 for five days meals included.

Pheasant season runs October 15 through December 2016.

Get ready for a great hunting season!

P.S.- If there is an interest to put together a group of AR members let me know and I can try to accommodate you.

What airport do you use when flying there?

Are there any hunting opportunities for big game?

The home looks like a nice investment!

What about land access? Do you have ground to hunt or make arrangements with local land owners??

I've thought about owning a place like this to A. hunt pheasant and B. to get away from the Texas August heat!

The place looks great. If you hear of an AR hunt being put together, I'd be in.

I hunt 90% public land. There is no reason really to pay to get on private land. There are plenty of places to find birds on public lands and section lines. If a landowner does give permission I always give them some sort of gift as appreciation.

I will have some places lined up if guys want to pay for some days on private ground or if they might want a day guided.

I have hunted South Dakota each year starting in the 1990's. I love hunting pheasants there with my dogs and friends. I made a nice place for guys to stay while bird hunting.

If I get interest here I will be glad to put guys together for some hunts.

My problem is the dog. I had a very nice Brittany mix. She lived for over fifteen years and was a good hunter for more than ten of those. But she died several years ago and I have had to hire dogs and handlers ever since.

I have five dogs of various hunting breeds. I can furnish a dog for guys to use who don't have one. I do this regularly.

Compared to what many of the commercial lodges are charging, Bobby's place is nearly free! I've seen a lot of his photo's including the area, birds, house and dogs. He's a serious Pheasant man and you can't go wrong with this deal. One of the best States for Pheasant hunting, a great area and host. I've hunted with Bobby and if you've never hunted wild Pheasant, you should treat yourself and go! LDK

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Take your dog pheasant hunting. He'll love you for it. Mine does!

Ten weeks left until the season opens in South Dakota! I have good dates available.
