Guys if you can walk I have some incredible prices on the following hunts in Zimbabwe's Gokwe North. I had two hunters there last year and they both where super happy. They had to hunt hard but they both got old good buffalo and thoroughly enjoyed the experience with Gary Hopkins. Buff, kudu and bushbuck pix are of those two safaris.

Gokwe is a large communal area in the Zambezi Valley and Gary is the only one hunting there. Game densities are not high and the terrain rough but if a hunter is willing to work a little bit he should have a grand safari for buffalo, hippo and/or croc.

If I wasn't already booked for South Africa next month, I'd be booking one of those hunts today.

The elephant and lion ban along with the drop in oil prices and the stock market must be hitting the Zim outfitters hard. I think as good capitalists we should all take full advantage of them.

Gary's a great guy, really enjoyed my two weeks with back in 2000. If i weren't on my way to Namibia this summer this would be tough to pass!

Are these the same areas and camps that Dudley Rodgers had?

The tuskless and 1 of the leopards are gone but there are 5 buffalo and 1 leopard still available. Didn't Dudley have Gokwe South? I don't really know.

That's the best price I've seen for Buffalo in awhile not counting fenced hunts in SA. Prices in SA seem to be dropping dramatically. Is this also happening in Zim?

I hunted the north with Kirk mason back in 06. Nice area. Very nice camps. One stilted camp on the Ume river that was very unique.

Original price of a hippo hunt $23,620. Is that right?

I'm with Larry. There are some great deals here but an original price on a hippo hunt of over 23K. Ouch!! I don't think so. If I didn't already have a leopard hunt booked in Zambia I'd find one of these deals I liked.

Just for you here are one of each from '15. Crocs average 12'-13' but given enough time you could shoot a monster in Kariba. hippo are all over. Leopards are sold for '16.

Did you look at what's included? Just the daily fee and trophy fee on the SAVE comes to $18,000 for a 10 day buffalo hunt. With the extras your looking at $20,000 plus. This hunt is essentially half that.
