Good day Everyone,

This hunt has been sold - Thanks everyone

This is the lion we tracked last year August in Sango, a beautiful cat. Tracking a lion is a great way to hunt them!

Leopard taken last year. If its a cat you want - this is the place to get it!

Importation of lions is happening, albeit very slowly. There is a process to go through, and it takes about a year to complete.

Below are some pictures of the lodge as well.

Phillip,
$42780+25000/21 = $3227/day?
Or
$42780/21 = $2037/day?

What is the baseline cost for this hunt?

Thanks for the question 505. I was confused by the numbers, also.

Base rate - $42,780

Trophy fees
Lion - $25,000 plus 4%
Leopard - $9,000 plus 4%

Total safari cost if a lion is shot - $68,780

I have reworded it and hope that makes more sense? Thanks for the input.

Unless bait is included, I think the total price should reflect reasonable baiting costs. Bait for two cats can really get expensive.

Great offer, Phil. Day rate is the same as I paid in 2012.

Sango is one of the premier operations on the continent. There was a time when I had hunted Sango as much as or more than anyone. Over four years I shot six of the dangerous seven there to include multiple leopard and buffalo as well as every PG species. Sango is a special place and it is where I introduced my wife to Africa and African Hunting.

Anyone who has been on the fence about a lion hunt should be all over this.

Will, best not to mention "Lion" and "Fence" in the same sentence :-)

It is a great place. Incredible camps.

I have been there twice. Shot 4 buff and 2 elephants on my last trip. Lots of lions around. In fact, when making the final approach on my last elephant, I bumped some lions.
