I’m flying to Tanzania on Qatar Airlines later this summer. I was planning to use a Tuffpak that I’ve had for about 12 years, but I haven’t used it in over 7 years.

IIRC, the last time I used it, I packed 2 rifles in soft cases with some extra clothes to keep the guns from moving around. Is that still allowed??

Also does Qatar Airlines have any issue with Tuffpak??

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Go Duke!!

The way you describe is exactly how I travel with my Tuffpak, including flights on Qatar Airways. Never had a problem.

Also how we pack ours.

The only issue we've ever had with using a Tuffpak is when the airline handlers thought it was a set of golf clubs and sent it out on the regular luggage carousel in Dubai.

I travel every year with my tuffpack as you described with no issues. Only flew Qatar once though. No issues with the tuffpack case.

I've flown through Qatar BC many times in the last few years with a tuffpac and had zero issues. I also put my ammo belt, Red Dot and clothing in my tuffpak for support.

I had that happen at Jo'berg 20 years ago.
