Rick, Thanks. I made it through AMS and CDG with no problems and my rifle made it to Tambo with me. I did all the paperwork myself and found it stressful but it worked out ok, even that Paris/Air France prior permission thing. Thanks again for your post, Brian

I must have missed something. Are you saying that you had a scope go missing from your rifle case? How did they get past the locks on the case? | |||

What kind of locks were on the case? Please don't say they were TSA locks. So are you saying that the case showed up at the Firearms office in JNB without any locks? | |||

Yes to both questions. The locks were cut off at Tambo and the scope was stolen, after the gun case was taken off o the plane and before I saw it at the Firearms office, about 45 minutes space of time.
