I did a search and couldn't find anything so sorry if this is a repeat.
How many Delta Flyer miles does it take to get from the USA to Zim? Or maybe just to Jo burg?

Jerry,

Delta will take you only as far as JNB. You will need to book the flight separate to zim.

As best I can recall, there are up to 4 levels of charges for the front of the bus. R/T starts at 120k, 180k, 210k, and up to 240,000.

The cheaper tickets are hard to find. Plenty availability with the highest mileage charge. Be sure to look on the very first day they become available, 330 days from the travel date.

Best of luck to you,

Jerry. It varies when you look. You can only get to Joburg. Mostly now 120-130k for coach and 190-240k biz class. I think I used 210,000 for mine this past trip. They do release seats at different rates at different times from what I understand.

gracy charges about 200 to do the job with miles, the advantage is they are hooked up with their computers so that if a seat opens up at midnight, they grab it right away. there isn't a lot of seats available on miles so for a couple hundred bucks we found it very worthwhile

oops forgot to mention, if you have the miles you can upgrade to biz class anytime until the plane leaves, providing the seat is available, just using more miles

They must like you Butch.

When I asked them 18 months ago they said $350 EACH for my wife and I and told me bluntly they probably could not get me mileage tickets. I did it myself for free, got 1st class the whole way from Anchorage to Windhoek, and then Kathi Klimes helped with the after planning.

I used 220,000 miles (I think?) for first class to/from Colorado to Atlanta and Business Class to/from ATL to Joburg. I paid about $65.00 for the taxes on the trip.
