Can't help you with Dubai mate. If you were going to Bangkok I'd have some suggestions right up you alley.

Perhaps should see if Saeed would let you shoot the "T-Rex". We all might enjoy seeing that and you would have your time in AUS to recover and get your fillings replaced.

Lots of things one can do, just depends on your interests.

You are very welcome to come over for drink and shoot some of our guns too.

That is very kind of you Saeed and I would have jumped at the offer but it now looks as if our flights are such that we will only be spending one day and night on the 23 Dec.

Sorry to hear that Andrew, I was looking forward to meeting you.

I won't be in Dubai then, though, as I will be out of the country till January 4th.

May be in the future.

My wife and I will be flying through Dubai, leaving Denver on Sunday, on the way to Bahrain to see our new granddaughter. On the way home we will stop off in Dubai for a couple of days of sightseeing (January 10 and 11, I believe). I am reading books on where to go and what to see!

I can certainly say a visit to Dubai is well worth the effort! My wife and I had a great three days there, bought day passes on the Metro, visited the gold and spice souqs, the Mall of the Emirates, and the Dubai Mall. The 15 hour flight back to Atlanta nearly did us in, but we made it. I normally don't like to play the tourist, but I enjoyed it this time.
