Anyone know what airline clubs are in the security zone? It has to be better than wandering the terminal for hours before the evening flight out.

Lots of airlines have lounges for their first and business class passengers only( or partner airlines passengers). The only one I saw 2 weeks ago open to the public for a day use fee was called the Premier Club( at least I think that was the name).

The premier club is the best bet: for 25usd you can relax, take a shower, eat until your flight

Here's another vote for the Premier Club. They have a full range of facilities included in the price including showers, free bar & snacks and even a smoking room.

There's one in the international lounge and another in the domestic lounge.

If you want a more substantial meal that the snacks provided, you can order from any of the food setups downstairs and have it sent up to you.

I believe they were closed recently for refurbishment but would guess they're now open again.

To find the international one, come through passport control, turn right, walk down until you see the escalators on the right, up them and at the top, turn 180 degrees to the left and it's straight ahead of you. Wink

Hope that helps.

The Bidair has a maximum stay of 3 hours. Might be best to check out the website that Steve has referred to. I recall when we were there in 2008 that they wanted to charge us close to $90 USD for both my wife and me. I said no. We eventually worked our way down to the Air France Lounge and a very nice woman who was running the Lounge allowed us to stay for a few hours in the Air France Lounge, even though we were not flying First Class or Business back to Paris. Yes, most of the others are open only to Business and First Class Passengers only.

Well, when we were there July '08 I believe the cost was 25USD per person: cheaper than the hotel at the terminal and no one ran us off after a certain length of stay

Every lounge I have visited will let you in if you are gold or platinum on that airline, even if you are not a member of that club. And a lot of clubs are run for several airlines, like the one at DAR. My NW WorldClub card got me in there as well as the KLM lounge.
