Is a complete shit show, coming and going. Took 2 hours flying in from Atlanta to clear SAPS. Hunters were stacked up in the SAPS office with no guns, SAPS said the “captain” running luggage for Delta said there were “too many guns” and would not bring them to office. Finally, police went down and sorted him out. Next morning, 4:30 took another 2 hours to recheck through Airlink and clear security, nearly missed flight. On the return, took 3 hours to clear SAPS and recheck. RSA security/customs/passport services are as big a problem as anything.

. Shame. Was over in June with a party of 7, had pre-issued licenses, guns were waiting at SAPs and we were in and out in literally 10 mins. Got an AirLink connection to East London last year with rifles and was a breeze. Where were you connecting to ? Sounds like a Delta ground handling issue at the start from what you write. Lots of hunters still going to RSA! . "Up the ladders and down the snakes!"

Agreed on the Delta issue, we used Mr. X through Afton. Bruce and his guys were perfect and helped us through the whole thing, all problems were on the Government/Airline side. You would be a fool to try to do it on your own (IMO). THe biggest issue is the stress it puts on missing your connections. 2 hours is no longer enough for a transfer, it didn't use to be that way.

On another note, US immigration has a new improvement, you no longer need your passport in hand. You walk through and it scans your face (?). The line literally melts in front of you, hope we're not paying an indirect cost for that technology (a little scary) ![]()
