Recommendations on Travel Agents

I've made several trips but I think I'm ready to change travel agents.

I need to book a flight to the Caprivi in the Fall.

Which travel agent would you recommend??

Whoever you book with, the Air Namibia flight from Frankfurt to Windhoek is the only one I've found that will allow you to make the connection for the flight from Windhoek up to Katima in the Caprivi. Anything through JNB will require an overnight.

I have had good luck w/ Gracy Travel, once for a trip to SA several years ago and now again for a Namibian hunt in Oct.

I hate to open a "closed case", but in this situation I have to add: +1000! Steve is extremely reliable, he will take care of your needs and you will be a repeat customer. It's impossible to say enough good things about this gentleman. He's at the top of his profession.

Fellas:
I like the personal service of Steve Turner. Many years ago I, too, used Gracy. As they grew larger the personal attention fell off. My examples would be while I received the ticket there was no effort to get me the seats I wanted nor shop for best fares. Added to this were phone messages went unanswered or a week or more when I did get reply. When I felt like a production line number I moved on. Used local agents for a few years and met Steve Turner and will stay with him.
Just my two cents.

I used one of those mentioned for 3 trips and was very pleased with the service. Then there were several avoidable careless errors on the last trip. These included a reservation not made, wrong flight numbers on US flight itineraries, and wrong (by 3 hours) departure time on the return SAA flight. So, I switched to Steve Turner and have had great, personal, and effective service from him. Plan on using him again for the next trip.

There are several good ones who post here, but I think Steve Turner, Travel with Guns is now leading the pack for sure. Timely service, personal attention to YOUR details, also on guard to everchanging situations, especially in Africa. Have used Steve for Africa as well as South American trips. Two thumbs up.

Called another "popular" Travel Agency. I was not impressed. I felt like I was putting them out by asking a few questions.

Went with Steve Turner at Travel with Guns. Exceptional service and I was treated with respect and concern. It was money well spent and I will always use them!

I met Steve Turner @ Reno SCI and worked with him on a few hunts...great guy, great service...My PROBLEM however has been in follow-up w/his office, the person I spoke with was less-than-knowlegeable, to be kind...

I think I'm gonna switch...

Steve or Susan at Travel with guns. I booked to Moz last September with them and they just booked a trip for my family and I to the East cape. Steve has gotten me out of travel jams quickly in Africa when he wasnt my travel agent.

Same thing happened with me. I met Steve at DSC, gave them my particulars, and called them a couple weeks later and spoke to some guy (not Steve) in his office. I gave him safari dates, hunters, etc and asked for a quote. I never got the first phone call, email, nothing, nada, zero from them.

Steve Turner. We booked with him when he was with Gracy and followed him when he went on his own. Gracy has the advantage of having a guy in JoBerg if you need help but Steve has an after hours contact.

I called Travel with Guns about a trip to Namibia. Talked to a guy in the office. First, he didn't know what the Caprivi was but I gave him the info and he said he would work up something and get back with me. I have not heard anything from them. I got Hunter at Gracy's to workout the trip.
