My mother is turning 90 on January 23. She loves to travel (5 international trips by 2023 ends) and my sister suggested we celebrate in Dubai.

I have only overnighted, so not familiar with anything else.

Would appreciate tips on things to do in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Mom is in great health and has all her faculties, but her limit in walking without a rest is 2 hours based on our latest trip together to London. So, no desert hikes

A trip to the top of the Burg Kalifa is a must. The view is stunning. The gold and spice souk are fun to visit, as is the Dubai Mall(huge aquarium, indoor snow skiing hill, etc). A helicopter tour over the beach and marina. It’s a fascinating city.
