I've booked a hunt in the SAVE for March 9-23 of this year. What's the weather like then? I've been to Zim. (Chewore) before (Aug., Sept., and Oct.) and I try to bring less each time; just don't want to be cold and wet.
Thanks in advance.

It won't be cold unless days and days of rain set in....I doubt there'll be much rain (famous last words!), if any at all at that time. Looks like we are in for a lower than average rain season...It will be hot.

Cheers, Dave

This is really a great weather website. You can type in as an example, Buffalo Range Zimbabwe and for most cities/airports you can see the history over the years for the time period you will be hunting.

We entered various cities where we would be hunting and you can pretty well gauge the weather for your trip from the history.

Good luck (and weather) on your hunt.

Thank you both. I'll keep it to the minimum. Looks like a mild Texas summer!

Having been there in February, I'd say expect temps of over 100 degrees.

There will probably be afternoon thunderstorms so things might get sticky with higher humidity.
Would recommend pure cotton cloths and medium to light wool sock to combat chaffing. Roll Eyes

I've hunted in Zim in Feb. The temps weren't too bad, but the humidity was insane.. But then again, I live in Tucson where anything over 5% is high!!
