Another traveling with meds issue. Ideas?

Recent health issues have me now taking 7 different meds once a day, everyday. At home I use a pill tray to keep things organized. My problem is this. Traveling with Rx meds requires proof of the RX. The prescription bottles in which the meds come are quite large. Packing 7 large pill bottles is going to be a pain in ass.

I have found that I can take pictures of the Rx bottles and store them in my phone. That way, I can use the pill tray and not have to pack 7 separate, quite large pill bottles.

Any thoughts?

I take photos on my phone of the prescription bottle with one of the pills beside the bottle. Only time I’ve been checked was once in Doha, customs/immigration was fine with the photos, but, none of the prescriptions was on their “banned” list.

Check with every country that you are stopping in or transiting through that none of your prescriptions are illegal there.

As an example:

Prescription Medications:
Adderall and Ritalin: These medications are widely prescribed for ADHD but are banned in Japan and heavily restricted in countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Over-the-Counter Medications:
Pseudoephedrine: Found in cold and allergy medications like Sudafed, it is banned in countries like Japan and Korea.
High-Dose Ibuprofen: Doses higher than 400mg are restricted in the UAE and some Middle Eastern countries.

Folks,

Benadryl an allergy medication is banned in Zambia. As others have stated nobody has ever asked to look at my meds.

Another option would be to have your pharmacy or physician print out copies of your prescriptions or med list from their EMR and then you have a piece of paper with the clinic data on it to show.

I’ve never had them check mine, either. But anything is possible.

I used to take a very large composition of medication including pharmaceutical phial etc. I didn't need them, but had them for the camp and for emergencies.
Never has anyone ever cared about it.
