I have always travelled Delta and know Atlanta well but if I fly Emirates I will have ~2.5 hours on the return in Chicago to clear and recheck guns. Is this destined for failure as there will not be any flights to Charlotte after that flight that night. Appreciate any experiences and my Global Entry has expired and no time to really renew. Just don't know Chicago that well.

Claiming and rechecking luggage in the international terminal can take forever. Too many flights and not enough baggage handlers to get the bags on the carousels timely. And thats not with a gun.
