Let’s hope this is short-lived.

Saw a message from Emirates saying flights from US to/thru Dubai are currently unaffected. Sure hope it stays that way.
Also saw a quote from a travel insurance company saying they won’t cover losses caused by this situation.

From Emirates:

“Update
Last updated: June 23, 2025, 05:47 Dubai (GMT+4)
Due to the regional situation, Emirates has temporarily suspended all flights to:
Iran (Tehran) and Iraq (Baghdad and Basra), until and including Monday 30 June 2025.
We are operating as scheduled to all other destinations. Please check flight status before proceeding to the airport.
Customers connecting through Dubai with final destinations in Iraq and Iran will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice.
Customers impacted by flight cancellations must contact their travel agency for rebooking. If booked directly with Emirates, please contact us.
Customers are requested to ensure their contact details are correct by visiting Manage Your Booking to receive updates
We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers. We continue to closely monitor developments. The safety of our passengers, employees and operations will always be our top priority.”

Of course insurance companies will make an exception
They are in business to take your money and do everything in their power not to pay when there is an issue
I think everyone of us been there and they rule the world better than banks as even banks cannot do anything without them

Never been lost, just confused here and there for month or two

Virtually all insurance policies for all lines of business have exclusions for war losses.

True. We are flying thru Dubai this weekend and I’m not concerned at all. I don’t think Emirates would risk billions of dollars worth of equipment, employees and passenger liability if there was much risk. I’m 100% sure the powers that be at Emerates and UAE have a better grasp of what is going on than most.

We have friends flying out to Europe this morning.

They just called that the Emirates chauffeur has picked them up as scheduled.
